HERE is the quick and easy directions to installing this:
To install this correctly you need:

1) unzip the myscrapbook package and then upload all of the directory
   "myscrapbook" to your web directory.

2) Change the permissions on the directory named "userimages"
   to 777 .. Do this with the comand "chmod 777 userimages"

3) change the permissions of config.php to 777 

4) go to the myscrapbook  directory with a web browser..
   for example go to 
   http://www.mydomainname.com/myscrapbook/

5) follow the online installation directions from there on.
